A huge thanks to our fundraisers and supporters
It was a brilliant to see so many people out completing their challenges and helping us to raise vital funds. Here’s a summary of all the action.
12 year old Noah made a sign and headed down to the riverside where he completed his half marathon on rollerblades!
For his half marathon, Noah skated multiple laps of a half mile stretch of riverside path, drumming up a lot of support from members of the public.
Move Mate pair Lizzie and Charlene walked a mile, a huge achievement for Charlene who struggled to walk a few hundred metres when she first joined us.
Amy, who is one of our regular givers, hit the trails for her half marathon. She enjoyed a windy solo run along the river.
“It felt really good to be outside, running along the river on such a lovely (albeit windy) spring day for this great cause. I hope the funds raised will help more people be able to enjoy the great outdoors! “

Octogenarian Zillah hadn’t walked a mile in a long time, but was given a big boost by having her grandchildren walk with her.
Move Mate and fundraiser Vicky challenged herself to complete the distance of three half marathons on her bike.
We had loads of fantastic runners raising hundreds of pounds and completing half marathons, some even gaining new personal bests despite the wind!
“Playing a small part in the Move the Masses spring fundraiser this weekend has been the most fun I have had in weeks!”
Nick
Val and Judy walked a half marathon around the whole of Portsea Island, raising over £600 between them and reaching Val’s goal of walking a half marathon in under four hours!
“A windy, wild and wickedly wonderful walk!”
